주요 ASTM 규격의 강종은 아래와 같습니다.

A36 : 구조용강(Carbon Structural Steel)

This ASTM spec covers carbon plates, shapes and bars of structural
quality for  use in riveted, bolted, or welded construction of
bridges and building, and  for general structural purposes.

A283 : 중. 저 항장력 구조용강
(Low and Intermediate Tensile Strength Carnon Steel Plates)

This ASTM spec covers four grades (A, B, C, and D) of carbon
steel plates of structural quality for general structural purposes.

A285 : 중. 저 항장력 압력용기용 탄소강판
(Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel,
Low- and Intermediate Tensile Strength)

This ASTM specification covers carbon steel plates of low-and
intermediate tensile strength which may be made by killed,  semi-
killed capped, or rimmed steel practices at the producer”s option
These plates are intended for fusion-welded pressure vessels

A516 : 상온 및 저온용 압력용기용 강판
(Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel,
for Moderate -and Lower-Temperature Service)

This ASTM specification covers carbon steel plates intended
primarily for service in welded pressure vessels where
improved notch toughness is important.
Plates under this specification are available in four
grades having different strength levels

A537 : C-Mn-Si 열처리 압력용기용 강판
(Pressure Vessel Plates,Heated Treatment,
Carbon-Manganese- Silicon Steel)

This ASTM specification covers heated treatment, carbon-
manganese- silicon steel plates intended for
fusion welded pressure vessels and structures.

A572 : 저합금 Nb-V 구조용 고장력강
(High-Strength Low-Alloy Columbium-
Vanadium Structural Steel)

This ASTM specification covers five grades of high-strength low-
alloy structural steel shapes, plates, sheet piling, and bars.
Gr.42 , Gr.50 , Gr.55 are intended for riveted, bolted, or welded structures.
Gr.60 , Gr.65 intended for riveted or  bolted construction of bridges,
or for riveted, bolted, or welded construction in other applications.

※ Columbium : 독일에서는 Nb (Niobium) 이라고도 함.

※ Steel plates, Steel sheets (강판)
Hot rolled or cold rolled flat steel products, cut to flat plate shapes,
including to cut length from the steel strips.
However, flat bars are not included
평평하게 열간 압연 또는 냉간 압연 된 강철로, 평판상으로 절단된 강재.
강대로부터 자른 판 (切板)도 포함됩니다, 평강은 포함되지 않습니다.
