철강과 변태, Steel Transformation and Abnormal

변태라는 말은 설명이 필요 없습니다.
한문으로는 變態 라고 쓰고 영어로는 Abnormal 이라고 씁니다.

속칭 바바리 맨도 변태라고 합니다.
한글로도 변태 , 한문으로도 變態 라고 똑 같이 쓰지만

철강에서의 변태는 내용이 다르며,
영어로 쓰면 다름이 비교됩니다.

철강에서의 변태는
Transformation이라고 씁니다.

철강에서의 변태는, 신문과 방송 뉴스로
나오는 변태와는 다릅니다.

얼음이 물로, 물이 기체로,
고체가 액체로, 액체가 기체로 변하면

물질의 본질은 같지만 그 얼굴 (상)이 변하는 것을
철강에서는 변태라고 하고,

어떤 온도 구역별로 상이 변합니다.
자석을 보면 지금도 신기합니다.

철에 가져다 대면 착 붙기도 하고,
자석끼리 극이 같으면

어떻게든 밀어내고, 다르면
착 붙는게 아직도 재미있고 신기하지만

철강에서는 온도 변화에 따라 같은
물질이지만 강한 자성체 (magnetic substance : 磁性體)가 되기도 하고

비자성체가 되기도 하는것을
자기변태 (magnetic transformation : 磁氣變態)라고 합니다.

자기변태는 어느 온도 구간에서 자기적 성질이나
기타의 성질이 변화를 일으키는 것을 말하지만

변태에는 자기변태도 있지만,
동소변태 (allotropie transformation :  同素變態)라는 것도 있습니다.

동소변태는 어느 온도 구간에서
상의 변화를 일으키는 것을 말하며

즉 고체 상태이지만 부피의 팽창과 수축이 일어나며,
금속의 기계적 성질과 물리적인 성질이 변하는 것을 말하며,

온도 구역에 따라 철강의 구조가 바뀌며,
철의 이름도 달라지는데

α-Fe : 910℃ 이하에서 철구조를 체심입방격자 (BCC)
γ-Fe : 910℃ ~1400℃ 에서의 철구조를 면심입방격자 (FCC)
δ-Fe : 1400℃ 이상에서는 체심입방격자 (BCC)라고  부르고 있습니다.

※ Transformation (변태 : 變態)
A phenomenon in which a crystal structure is changed into another
crystal structure by the rise or fall of temperature.
Magnetic transformation involves no change of crystal structure
온도가 오르고 내림에 따라 하나의 결정 구조가 다른 결정 구조로
변하는 것을 말합니다.

※ 변태온도 (transformation temperature : 變態溫度)
상의 변화가 일어나는 온도, 확장적인 의미로서
변태가 시작되고, 끝나는 온도의 범위
Ac1 : 가열하는 동안 오스테나이트가 생성되기 시작하는 온도
Ac3 : 가열하는 동안 페라이트가 생성되기 시작하는 온도

Transformation temperatures for a particular alloy
Temperature at which a change of phase occurs and, by extension ,
at which the transformation begins and ends when the transformation
occurs over a range of temperatures
Ac1 : temperature at which austenite begins to form during heating
Ac3 : temperature at which ferrite begins to form during heating

※ Bloom
Semi-finished products having certain size of square cross-section
(square and rectangular of the long side twice or less the shoter size)
or round cross-section
There are square blooms, rectangular blooms and round blooms,
and generally semi-finished products of one side or
diameter of over 200 mm
In the specification of ISO 6929, square blooms with side greater
than 120 mm and rectangular blooms having a cross-sectional
area greater than 14,400㎟, with a ratio of width
to thickness greater than 1 and less than 2
