표준을 유지 관리하고 있는 차이점이 있습니다.
AISI 표준으로 나타나는 철강재 중
하나로 AISI 1045 강이 나타납니다.
AISI 와 SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers : 미국자동차기술협회)의
표준에 대한 공동 작업으로 AISI No와 SAE No는
거의 일치하게 나타나며, 예를 들어
AISI 1045 는 SAE1045 와 Chemical Composition Limits 가 일치합니다.
서로 유사한 규격이라고 나타나는기계구조용강인
화학 성분을 비교하면 미세한 차이점이 나타납니다.
※ Steel (강 : 鋼)
Iron, malleable in at least one range of temperature below its melting
point without special heat treatment, substantially free from slag, and
containing carbon more than about 0.05% and less than about 2.00%.
Other alloying elements may be present in significant quantities, but
all steels contain at least small amounts of manganese and silicon,
and usually as undesirable constituents, also sulfur and phosphorus.
Steel can be classified on the base of :
– Composition (carbon steel, low alloy steel, high alloy steel, etc.)
– Finishing method (hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, PM steel, cast steel, etc.)
– Production form (plate, sheet, strip, bar, h-beam, rail, etc.)
– Type of application (construction steel, shipbuilding steel, tool steel, etc.)

Generally speaking carbon steels contain up to 2% total alloying
elements, and can be subdivided into as following categories
Low-carbon steels, which contain up to 0.30% C
Medium-carbon steels, which contain 0.30% to 0.60% C
High-carbon steels, which contain 0.60% to 1.00% C
