CSA 표준 중 강판 (Plate) 과 형강 (Sections) 의
규격에 CSA 40.21에
CSA 350W 강종이 있으며
350의 숫자는 최소 항복 강도를
“W”는 Weldable Steel 로, 용접성이 중요한
건축물, 교량에 사용되지만
저온 충격 시험은 없는 강종입니다.
사용되는 Plate and H-BEAM의 Size 단위는
ASTM의 inch와 mm Size 모두 가능합니다.
JIS 와 KS 철강 규격 SM490A의 항복 강도가 16t 이하에서 min 325 MPa,
SM490YA 의 항복 강도가 365 MPa 와 CSA 350W 를 비교하면
SM490YA 이상의 강재인,
상당히 고항복점 강재입니다.

CSA 350W 로 쓰일 때 “W”는 Weldable Steel을
350WT의 “WT”는 Weldable Notch-Tough Steel로 저온 충격 Test.
350R의 “R”은 Atmospheric Corrosion-Resistant Steel로 내후성 강재
350A의 “A”는 Atmospheric Corrosion-Resistant Weldable Steel
350AT의 “AT”는 Atmospheric Corrosion-Resistant Weldable Notch-Tough Steel
350Q의 “Q”는 Quenched and Tempered Low-Alloy Steel
350QT의 “QT”는 Quenched and Tempered
Low-Alloy Notch-Tough Steel 을, 의미합니다.
※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.
샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또는 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.
