Austenitic Stainless 보다, 두 배 이상의 강도를 가집니다.
두 배 이상의 강도로, 높은 비강도 (High Strength-To-Weight Ratio)는
강재 사용 중량을 절반으로 줄일 수 있는 효과를 가져옵니다.

※ Stress corrosion (응력 부식 : 應力腐蝕)
부식과 인장 응력 또는 잔류 응력, 그리고 부식성 환경으로 인해 금속의
변형과 함께 발생하는 부식을 말합니다.
금속 표면에 거의 부식이 없지만 미세한 균열들이 금속 내부로 퍼짐에
(전파에)따라, 설계 강도보다 훨씬 낮은 응력에서도 금속 파괴가 일어날 수 있습니다.
※ Ductility(연성)
The property of metals that enables them to be mechanically deformed
when cold, without fracture. In steel, ductility is usually measured by
elongation and reduction area is determined in a tensile test.
금속에 인장력을 줘 소성 변형을 일으켰을 때, 끊어짐이 없이 선 (line)상으로
늘릴 수 있는 성질을 연성이라고 하고, 연성은 인장시험에서
연신율 (Elongation), 단면수축율 (Reduction area; RA)로 측정합니다.
쉽게 말해 물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변형할 수 있는 능력입니다.
※ Austenitic-Ferritic Stainless Steels(Duplex)
Stainless steels where austenitic structure exists together to ferritic
structure at a ordinary temperature.
It is called duplex stainless steel.
