Tin 1.5% 수준 합금입니다.
UNS No. R60804 이고, 지르코늄 합금으로
많이 사용되는 Alloy가, Zircaloy 4, Zircaloy 2 (R60802) 입니다.
지르코늄은 주로 원자력 발전에 사용되며
그 이유는 중성자를 거의 흡수하지 않는 성질과
내열성 — Superior thermal properties
열전도성 — Thermal conductivity higher than stainless steel
황산, 염산, 질산에 대한 내식성 — corrosion resistance, nitric acid,
sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid corrosion resistance 이, 우수하기 때문입니다.
또한 강도 면에서도 Zircaloy 4 는,일반 구조용강이나
용접 구조용으로 기본 강종인 ASTM A36 수준의 강도를 가집니다.
