Monel® R-405 는 Special Metal Trademark 입니다.
Alloy 405 는, Alloy 400 — Monel® 400 과
다른 화학 원소에서는 같지만 Sulfur (S) 함량을 높여
쾌삭성 (free-machining)을 높인 재질입니다.
Alloy 400 대비 machinability 는 높였지만
상대적으로 강도는 약간 떨어지는 금속입니다.
불화수소산 (hydrofluoric acid), 해수 (seawater)
황산 (sulfuric acids), 알칼리에 우수한 내식성 재질입니다.
405 Alloy, Monel® L-405, UNS N04405 는
ASTM B164 : Standard specification for
nickel-copper alloy rod, bar, and wire 규정에 있는 재질입니다.
