10277-2 규정은 Bright steel bars for general engineering purpose

1.0401, C15, 인발 제품이면서 환봉 직경 25mm 는,
인장강도 430~730 MPa, 항복강도 280 MPa minimum 입니다.
1.0401, C15 제품은 표면 경화강 (case-hardening steel) 로도 쓰입니다.
표면 경화강은 강재 심부는 인성을, 표면은 경도를 높여 사용하는 강재입니다.

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면 경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면 경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.

Round bars products by turning on a lathe where the products
can be further processed by straightening and polishing.
This operation gives the bar special features with respect to shape,
dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
The removal of metal is carried out in such a way that the bright
product is generally free from rolling defects and surface decarburization.
For technical reasons som bars ordered as hot rolled products may be
delivered roughly turned(peeled), nevertheless such products are
treated as hot rolled products and not as bright products.

Products of various cross section shapes obtained, after descaling,
by drawing of hot rolled bars or rod on a draw bench
(cold deformation without removing material)
This operation gives the product special features with respect to shape,
dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
In addition, the process causes cold working of the product.
which can be eliminated by subsequent heat treatment.
Products in lengths are delivered straightened regardless of size.
