E3310 은 Electric Furnace 에서 생산하는 Ni-Cr Alloy 입니다.
단조 후 Carburizing (침탄) 열처리 해서 사용하는 대형 강재용 재질입니다.

단조로 제조하는 Gears, Crankshafts, Heavy-duty gear shaft in truck
Ring gears, Heavy-duty bushing, King pins 용도로 사용하며,

심부 강도 (core strength)와 높은 인성용 강재입니다.
낮은 탄소량으로, 유도 경화나, 화염 경화 효과는 높지 않습니다.

단조 후 경도 값은 ASTM A837, HBN 229 maximum 규정입니다.
ASTM A837에는 화학 성분과 경도 값만 나타나고, 다른 기계적 성질은 없습니다.

열처리 온도와 방법, 표면 경화에 따라, 기계적 성질이 달라지며
대형 단조재인 경우 QT and 표면 경화 후 HRC 62 수준입니다.

ASTM A837 E3310 표면 경화용 강재는 EN 1.1752
15NiCr13 Hot rolled annealed 와 비교 가능한 강재 입니다.

※ Carburizing (침탄 : 浸炭)
Thermochemical treatment which is applied to a ferrous product heated
to a temperature AC1, to obtain a surface enrichment in carbon and
nitrogen, which are in solid solution in the austenite.
Generally, this operation is followed immediately by quench hardening.
The medium in which carbonitriding takes place should be specified,
e.g. gas, salt bath, etc.
＊AC1 : temperature at which austenite begins to form during heating.

오스테나이트 상태의 철강재에서 표면에만 오스테나이트 중의 고용 탄소의
농도를 높이고자 시행하는 열 화학적 처리로, 침탄 된 철강재는 그 즉시 또는
이후에 급랭 담금질 처리가 뒤따라야 하며, 침탄에 이용한 가스나 고체 등의
매질 표시가 반드시 표기되어야 합니다.
＊AC1 : 가열하는 동안 오스테나이트가 생성되기 시작하는 온도.

※ Case hardening steel (표면 경화강: 表面硬化鋼)
Low carbon steels and low carbon alloy steels of machine structural use
whose surfaces are hardened mainly by carburization hardening…….…JIS
Steels with a relatively low carbon content, which are intented for
carburising or carbonitriding and subsequent hardening.
Such steels, after treatment, are characterised by a high hardness
surface layer and a tough ….…DIN-EN.

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면 경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면 경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.
