높은 인장강도 — 300 ksi × 6.9 ＝ 2070 MPa 수준이고

우수한 내식성 (corrosion resistance), Sheet, Foil 제품입니다.
Cold Rolled (냉간 압연)에 의한 가공 경화 효과와

Hardening and Aging 열처리에 의해 높은 강도가 실현됩니다.
강도도 높지만 인성 (toughness)와 연성 (ductility)이 좋은 금속입니다.

Non-magnetic (magnetic permeability 1.0009) 성질을 이용한
electrical components, 탄성계수 33.76 ksi × 10³ 와 높은 강도로

Springs, Medical, Chemical, Food processing,
높은 내식성으로 해수 환경에 사용되는 Marine instruments 로 사용합니다.

약 400℃ 수준까지 사용 온도이고, 비금속 개재물 (non-metallic inclusion)
제거를 위해 두 번의 진공 용해 (vacuum melting) 과정으로 제조합니다.

※ Vacuum Melting (진공 용해 : 眞空熔解)
Melting in a vacuum to prevent contamination from air, as well as to
remove gases already dissolved in the metal ; the solidification may
also be carried out on a vacuum or at low pressure.

진공이나 낮은 압력에서 금속을 용해하는 생산 방법으로 대기 속에
있는 산소, 불순물이 들어가지 않게 금속을 제조하는 방법으로, 의료용,
고급 금속, 특수강, 전자 산업용 금속 재료의 생산에 사용되는 방법입니다

강의 응고 과정에서 강 안에 석출 또는 혼입 되어 들어가는
비금속성의 개재물로 매크로 조직 시험으로 조사하는데
앞에서 말한 개재물이란 육안으로 인지 되는 비금속 개재물을 말합니다.

※ Inclusions (개재물 : 介在物)
Non metallic particles like oxides, sulfides, and silicates in the steel matrix.
To decrease the negative effect of inclusions on mechanical properties,
special cleaning methods are used during the melting process
in steel production.

산화물, 황화물, 규산염 등의 아주 작은 입자들이 금속 조직 내 있는 것을 말하고
이들은 기계적 성질에 부정적인 영향을 감소 시키려고 강의 제조 과정에서
제거 시킵니다.

※ Ageing—–USA
Spontaneous changes in the physical properties(for example
increase in tensile strength and hardness) of some metals,
which occurs on standing at atmospheric temperatures
after final cold working or after heat treatment.
Frequently synonymous with term “Age-Hardening”

※ Aging (시효 : 時效)
A phenomenon in which, after cooling or cold working, the properties
of steel (for example, hardness) are changed with a lapse of time.
This may sometimes be used as an operation intended only for age hardening.

시효 처리는 열처리 합금의 석출경화 과정을 의미하며 열처리 온도에 따라
자연 시효 (Natural Aging)과 인공 시효 (Artificial Aging) 으로 구분되며
자연 시효 (Natural Aging)는 상온에서 일정 시간 유지하는 열처리이고
인공 시효 (Artificial Aging)는 석출물의 빠른 발현 진행 시키려고 하는
고온에서 일정시간 유지하는 열처리를 의미합니다.
