AMS 4967 재질은 티타늄 합금 6.0Al-4.0V Alloy 합금으로
Annealed 열처리 된 Bars, Wire, Forgings, Rings 제품에 관한 규정입니다.

Titanium 을 balance metal 로 하고, 알루미늄 6%, 바나듐 4% 수준 재질인
AMS 4967 은 내식성 금속이면서 높은 비강도 재료입니다.

극저온부터 427℃ (800℉) 수준까지 사용 가능하며 금속의 청정성과
균질하게 생산하는 VAC (Vacuum Arc Remelting) 생산입니다.

AMS 4967 은, Turbine blades, discs, aircraft airframe, pressure vessels, rocket
engine cases; helicopter rotor hubs, fasteners, medical device 용도로 사용합니다.

AMS 4967 재질의 비중 4.43 g/㎤ 불과해 탄소 합금강재나 스텐레스 대비,
60% 이하의 비중과 높은 강도로 비강도 (strength to ratio)가 아주 높습니다.

AMS 4967 Spec 은, 재질적으로 ASTM F1472 UNS R56400,
ASTM B265, B348, B861 Spec Ti-6Al-4V 과 비교 가능합니다.

※ Vacuum Melting (진공 용해 : 眞空熔解)
Melting in a vacuum to prevent contamination from air, as well as to
remove gases already dissolved in the metal ; the solidification may
also be carried out on a vacuum or at low pressure.

진공이나 낮은 압력에서 금속을 용해하는 생산 방법으로 대기 속에
있는 산소, 불순물이 들어가지 않게 금속을 제조하는 방법으로, 의료용,
고급 금속, 특수강, 전자 산업용 금속 재료의 생산에 사용되는 방법입니다

※ Polishing (광내기 연마)
Before the next step, the surface should be highly polished. In every step
different polishing equipment should be used, Devices with high rotation
should be prefered

※ Annealing (풀림 열처리)
Heat treatment consisting of heating and soaking at a suitable
temperature followed by cooling under conditions such that,
after return to ambient temperature, the metal will be in
a structural state closer to that of equilibrium.
Annealing is a heat treatment process to transform the steel
structure in to a more homogeneous, soft or more suitable state
Note : Since this definition is very general, it is advisable to use an
expression specifying the aim of the treatment (see bright annealing,
full annealing, soft annealing, inter-critical annealing, isothermal
annealing and subcritical annealing)

금속 재료를 적당한 온도로 가열하고, 그 온도에서 유지하는 균질화 처리를
한 뒤, 냉각함으로써 냉각 후 상온에서의 조직이 평형 상태에
가깝도록 하는 열처리를 말합니다.
이 용어는 아주 광범위하게 사용되므로 처리하는 목적을 덧붙여
사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 예를 들어 광휘 어닐링, 완전 어닐링,
연화 어닐링, 중간 어닐링, 등온 어닐링, 변태점 이하 어닐링)
