GCD 500은 KS D 4032, FCD500 은 JIS G 5502 규격으로
내용에서 큰 차이는 없습니다.
GCD500, FCD500 모두 구상 흑연 주철로 미국은 연성 (ductile) 주철로 부릅니다.
주철 조직 내부의 흑연이 구상화 되면 연성이 크게 증가하기 때문입니다.
또한 흑연이 구상화 되면, 내마모성과 기계적 성질이 크게 높아집니다.
GCD500, FCD500 재질의 숫자는 인장강도 최소 값을 나타냅니다.
철과 강을 나누는 가장 큰 차이점은 Carbon (C) 함량이며
FCD500 에서의 탄소 함량은 2.5% minimum 입니다.
※ 주철 (Cast Iron, 鑄鐵)
Material, whose main components are iron and carbon, generally over
about 2% of carbon and other components are contained.
주요 성분이 탄소와 철이고, 일반적으로 탄소량이 2% 수준을 넘으며
다른 원소들도 있습니다.
※ 강 (Steel : 鋼)

주요 성분이 철이고, 일반적으로 탄소량이 2% 이하입니다.

※ Ductility (연성 : 延性)
The property of metals that enables them to be mechanically deformed
when cold, without fracture. In steel, ductility is usually measured by
elongation and reduction area is determined in a tensile test.
금속에 인장력을 줘 소성 변형을 일으켰을 때, 끊어짐이 없이 선 (line)상으로
늘릴 수 있는 성질을 연성이라고 하고, 연성은 인장시험에서
연신율 (Elongation), 단면 수축율 (Reduction area; RA)로 측정합니다.
물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변할 수 있는 능력입니다.
쉽게 말해 물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변형할 수 있는 능력입니다.
※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.
인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.
