A240-321 재질은 티타늄으로 오스테나이트 스텐레스인
Type 321 을 안정화 시킨 강재로, 427~815℃ 수준에서
크롬카바이드 석출에 의한 입계 부식 저항성을 높인 재질입니다.
또한 A240-321 스텐은 815℃ 수준까지 내산화성 재료입니다.
높은 크리프 강도와 Type 304 보다도 높은 응력 파단 (stress rupture) 특성입니다.
A240-321 강재는 항공기 엔진의 배기관, 식음료 산업 장치, 쓰레기 소각 설비 용도입니다.
일반적인 내식성에서는 304 보다 높은 내식성이고, 좋은 연성으로
성형성이 좋으며, 비중 7.92 g/㎤, 탄성계수 193 GPa 수준입니다.
※ 입계 부식 (Intergranular corrosion : 粒界腐蝕)
금속의 결정 입계 (grain boundary) 또는 근처에서 발생하는 부식

Steel with a small grain size (high number of ASTM-standard) has a
high tensile strength and a good toughness.
※ Austenitic Stainless Steels (오스테나이트 스텐레스)
Stainless steel with austenitic structure even at a
ordinary temperature.
AISI 304, SUS304 is representative.
실온에서도 오스테나이트 조직을 가지는 스테인레스강으로
열처리로서 경화 하지 않고, 일반적으로 비자성입니다.
18% 크롬, 8% 니켈(18-8, SUS304, AISI304, 1.4301)강이 대표적입니다.
