N08020 재질은 오스테나이트 스텐레스로, hot 황산에 우수한 내식성과
끓는 20~40% 수준의 황산 용액에서도 극히 우수한 내응력 부식 금속입니다.
N08020 스텐은 용접 후 나타날 수 있는 입계 부식에 대한 저항성과
기계 가공성, 냉간 성형성이 좋은, Ni-Cr-Mo-Co 합금입니다.
UNS N08020, Alloy 20 스텐에는 Columbium (또는 Niobium) 과
탄탈럼 원소가 탄소량의 8배~1.00% 수준까지 합금 되며, 이들 원소가 스텐레스
예민화를 방지해, 크롬 석출에 의한 입계 부식을 억제하고, N08020 합금은 Nickel
Alloy 20, CarTech®20Cb3® — trademark Carpenter Technology 상표로도 불립니다.
N08020 스텐레스는 황산 용액의 pickling 탱크, 열 교환기,
인산염 코팅 부품, 화학 산업과 석유 정제 산업 용도에 쓰입니다.
※ Stress corrosion (응력 부식 : 應力腐蝕)
부식과 인장 응력 또는 잔류 응력, 그리고 부식성 환경으로 인해
금속의 변형과 함께 발생하는 부식을 말합니다.
금속 표면에 거의 부식이 없지만 미세한 균열들이 금속
내부로 퍼짐에 따라 (전파에)따라, 설계 강도보다 훨씬 낮은
응력에서도 금속 파괴가 일어날 수 있습니다.

※ Sensitization (예민화 : 銳敏化)
Increase in the sensitivity of stainless steels to intergranular corrosion
