51CrV4 +A 재질은 스프링강에 속하는 재질입니다.
풀림 열처리 조건에서 (annealed) 경도 220 maximum 이지만
외경 250 mm 제품을 QT 열처리 하면 항복강도 최소 600 MPa 입니다.
크롬과 몰리브덴 합금으로 높은 강도가 가능하지만 약간의
합금량만으로도 강도를 높이는 바나듐 합금으로, QT 성능을 높였습니다.
높은 내마모성과 심경화 (through-hardening : 心硬化) 가능한 재료입니다.
대구경 환봉의 경우는 automotive and mechanical engineering 용으로
기어, 피니온, 축용으로 사용되고, 경우에 따라 한쪽 끝 경화능 강재도 됩니다.
EN 51CrV4 / 1.8159, BS970 735A50, 735A51, 735M50, 735H51, AFNOR
50CrV4, 51CrV4, SAE/AISI 6150, 재질과도 대응되는 강재입니다.
※ Through hardening steels
They are normally preferred in the plastic moulds which should be
resistant to high compression forces. The advantage of through
hardening steels compared to case hardening steels is that hardness
is reached not only in the surface but also in the core.
※ Through-Hardening (깊은 경화)
철강재의 표면과 중심부의 경도에 차이가 없도록 경화 깊이를 크게 하는 담금질경화
Quench hardening such that the depth of hardening is not less than distance
between the core and the surface of the ferrous product.
※ Vanadium (V) – increases shock resistance, strength, and hardness.
Retards grain growth even after exposure to high temperatures.

고온에서 결정립의 성장을 지연 시키는 원소입니다.
