AL2024-T4 재질은 ASTM 에서는 Alloy 2024-T4 이라고 하며 한국 규격,
유럽 규격, 일본 규격에서도 차이는 있지만 핵심은 2024-T4 는, 같습니다.
Aluminum 이고, 재료의 성격을 나타내는 합금 번호와 Temper를 같이 쓰다 보니
AL2024-T6 이라고도 쓰며, 잘 알려진 두랄루민 고강도 알루미늄 합금입니다.
우수한 내피로성으로 항공기용 구조 (structural) 재료로 사용되며,
비강도 (比强度 : strength to weight ratio : 인장강도를 비중으로 나눈 값) 재료입니다.
AL2024-T4 재료의 비중은 2.77 g/㎤, 인장강도 425 MPa minimum, 비강도 153
ASTM A36 탄소강 비중 7.85 g/㎤, 인장강도 400 MPa minimum, 비강도 51
알루미늄 AL2024-T4 재질이 ASTM A36 탄소강 재료의 3 배에 이릅니다.
강도가 높은 반면에 내식성은 떨어지므로, 이를 감안해 사용해야 합니다.
같은 알루미늄 AL2024-T4 이라도 인발 재료인 경우는 ASTM B221 규정을, 열간 압연과
냉간 마무리 (cold finish) 재료인 경우는 ASTM B211, B221-T3 규정을 따릅니다.
※ Aluminium Temper T4 meaning
Solution heat-treated, and naturally aged
Applies to products which are not cold works after solution
heat treatment, and naturally aged to a substantially stable condition.
Therefore, the effect of cold work in flattening or
straightening may be small.
고용화 열처리 이후에 자연 시효 경화 한 후 안정화 된 상태를 말하고
고용화 열처리 이후에 냉간 가공을 실시하지 않으며 변형을 바로잡기 위한
냉간 가공은 기계적 성질에 영향이 작은 수준을 말합니다.
※ Cold Finish (냉간 마무리)
The term “Cold Finish” is an umbrella definition for any metal
that has had some sort of surface treatment.
EX) Cold drawn is cold finish surface.
