AMS 4152 규정은 Cu-Mg-Mn 2××× series 열처리 알루미늄 합금인
2024 압출 (냉간 마무리) 환봉과 로드,와이어 형상 제품에 대한 규정으로
AMS 4152, 24S-T 재료로는 2024-T3, T4, T351, T3511 Temper 가 주로
사용되며, 미국 연방 규격 QQ-A-225/3 규정과 대응됩니다.
Alloy 7075 보다는 낮은 강도이지만 24S-T 재질은 7075 의 60~70% 수준의
높은 항복강도 재료이고, 다른 비열처리 알루미늄 합금 대비 높은 강도입니다.
또한 응력 부식 균열 저항성과 우수한 내피로성 ((耐疲勞性)), Annealed 조건이면
좋은 기계 가공성이고, 항공기의 구조체, 운송 부품으로 사용됩니다.

※ Fatigue (피로 : 疲勞)
A damage of material due to periodically fluctuating stresses.
These stresses may have a maximum value, which is less then
the tensile strength of the material.
Fatigue often causes cracks starting with a notch at a sharp
corner of the surface or inner structure as a result of
defaults like inclusions or micro-cracks.
주기적인 반복 응력에 의한 재료의 손상을 말합니다.
이와 같은 응력은 재료의 인장강도보다는 낮은 수준에서 최대 값입니다,
재료의 피로에 의한 파괴는 노치 또는 개재물에 의한 결함, 미세한 크랙으로 야기됩니다.
